An Inspiring Evening with Melinda French Gates and Malala
During my time in London, I had the chance to hear Melinda French Gates speak and to meet Malala Yousafzai. It was one of those rare moments that leaves you reflecting long after the day ends.
Melinda spoke with honesty about transitions and what it means to give with intention. From her early career building at Microsoft to dedicating her life to supporting women and families, her impact is both far reaching and deeply personal. Listening to her reminded me that true leadership is as much about values as it is about vision.
Meeting Malala was equally unforgettable. Her story is known across the world, but in person her calm strength is what stands out. Through the Malala Fund she continues to champion girls’ education with a mix of quiet determination and unshakable courage.
Both women have reshaped the world of philanthropy in extraordinary ways. I left feeling inspired, humbled, and grateful for the opportunity to be part of a conversation that carries so much meaning.
Can’t wait to pave this forward with Data Philanthropy and working with the Jeff T. Green Foundation.
