Wimbledon and a Surreal Summer in London

London has always been one of my favorite cities. It’s a place where history, culture, and community come together in such a special way. From morning runs through Regent’s Park to dinners at Dishoom, the city always feels alive yet comforting at the same time.

I first spent a summer here during my MBA internship in 2022 and, by pure luck, attended Wimbledon. I never imagined I’d experience it again. But this year, in 2025, I returned with no expectations — and everything unfolded in the best way possible.

Through serendipity and some networking,I was invited as Iga Świątek’s guest and had the chance to watch her play up close. Her focus, grace, and humility were unforgettable. Fast forward, she was the Wimbledon’s woman champion this year! I even ran into Novak Djokovic again, which felt like such a full-circle moment.

This summer reminded me how much beauty can come from moments you don’t plan. I spent time working from our beautiful Trade Desk office, met incredible people — including Malala Yousafzai, members of Rishi Sunak’s party, and the Mittal family and learned so much through those conversations. Each encounter reminded me of the value of curiosity and sincerity.

Through a friend, I stayed in a lovely home in Notting Hill that felt like something out of a movie. The neighborhood’s charm, the laughter of new friendships, and quiet evenings watching the sunset made every day feel meaningful. I also took time to explore beyond the city  visiting Oxford and the countryside with coworkers, which felt like stepping into a dream.

As I look back on this summer, I feel so incredibly grateful. None of it was planned, yet everything came together effortlessly. It reminded me that when you stay open, kind, and let go of control, life often surprises you in the best ways.

Sometimes the most extraordinary moments happen when you’re not chasing them, you’re simply there to receive them. To more memories.
