A Surreal Moment with Novak Djokovic

Tennis has always been a constant in my life. Growing up, I played competitively and had the honor of serving as team captain. Being Indian, tennis has always felt both familiar and special, a sport that carries a sense of tradition as well as joy for me.

Even through college and business school, I always found myself coming back to the court. No matter how busy life became, tennis was the place where I could reset, recharge, and feel connected to something I love.

I have followed Roger Federer for years and always admired the brilliance of Novak Djokovic’s game. Watching their matches inspired me as both an athlete and a fan. That is why I could never have imagined finding myself face to face with Djokovic at a conference.

It was one of those unexpected full circle moments that reminds you of the power of sport—not just as a game, but as something that shapes who we are, connects us across cultures, and continues to inspire long after we step off the court.
